EGO (Music Design), born EDWARD MARTIN, is a music producer, saxophonist, and songwriter. Growing up listening to K-Pop, jazz, blues, and funk provided EGO a unique take on music that is evident in his music, today. He picked up the saxophone in middle school, and continued his music education at the University of North Texas, known for having one of the finest music schools in the country. At UNT, EGO studied saxophone under the guidance of distinguished musician Jim Riggs. During and after college, he performed in many different settings from Big Band orchestras to cover bands, and even worked sideman for heavy hitters such as Will Downing and Bill Tillman.
EGO moved to New York City where he continued his education with Platinum engineer Robert Honablue (Royal Blue Studios). He gained priceless engineering knowledge, which furthered his musical creativity and led to the creation of EgoHard Entertainment, EGO’s musical playground.
